GARETH "SAMBORA" BARTLETT

Gareth learnt his stagecraft in the raw Blue Murder Blues Band after several years singing and playing guitar as a founder member of Undivided .
The Essex lad (ssh!) was not an unfamiliar sight on the Jonestown stage, and was called on by Harry to set-up Area 51 .
Has a dangerous obsession with Bon Jovi and rarely goes several months without buying new gear...
Known as Sambora by many of his friends - a name given to him during the days of Blue Murder - he is a self-taught guitarist who took up the six-string at the late age of 16, after becoming addicted to live Jovi videos.
A huge lover of Marshall stacks, Sambora has regularly returned to the iconic guitar amp after periods of experimenting with amps covered in more lights and switches than the Starship Enterprise.
However, these days, after a one-gig disaster with Bugera, he is now using Orange amps - they might look garish, but they sound ace.
Guitar-wise, it's an odd line-up of ESP, PRS and Tanglewood, with the beautiful acoustic coming out for a few numbers.
Some of his bizarre gig rituals involve Jack Daniels, miles of Gaffa tape, sweatbands, a selection of T-shirts, and "gig shoes"...just don't ask!
