“THERE are dancing women on the stage! Help! What do we do now?!!?”
That’s quite possibly the thought running through some of our minds as female forms appeared on stage at Bunters towards the end of the night.
It was a cracking night – which started in a rush for me as I’d spent the day in a hospital (fortunately not as a patient) and headed over at the last possible minute. Thankfully the ever-reliable other members were right on top of everything, allowing me to rock up and soundcheck after setting up my amps and guitars.
However, despite our rigorous tuning regime before each set, somehow we managed to kick into our first song and my guitar just sounded rather unpleasant. But a quick nod to Harry who doesn’t usually play anything at that point, and he’d taken over the part while I made the necessary adjustments. Annoying, but these things happen. Rarely. I wonder if the guitar took a knock just before we started….
Anyhoo, we were fortunate enough to have the cracking photographer Charlotte Prudhoe in the audience. We can’t wait to see what she snapped, but she’s shot us before, with great results, which can be seen here, but you might have to request some Facebook friendship to see them all. I really haven’t had enough sleep, so I’m off. There’s probably more to say about the Bunters gig but I’ll be buggered if I can remember it. Tomorrow night (Sat, Jan 28), we’re playing a rather special gig at Shiners in Bodmin…
