NOW, we like to come out all guns blazing. We wanna kick your ass from the first note.

But for various technology-related reasons, we felt maaaaaaybe we didn’t quite hit top gear as soon as we usually do.

Now that’s quite a thing for a band to admit to. But if you’ve seen us, you probably know we’re not the kinda band to pretend to be cool. We all have to pee between sets (and may have said so before the break), I wear a sweatband on my wrist and occasionally fall into talking with an American accent over the mic. There is no shame in any of it. None at all. Really….! Lol.
And at the end of the day, this is a blog about the gig – and the last thing we’re gonna do is come on here and say how every gig was sensationally amazing. It would be repetitive, boring bullshit.
We have been blessed with an incredible run of amazing gigs. But that ain’t always the case – whether you’re a band at our level or playing stadiums. You can choose to either cover it up and pretend it never happened, or just be honest about it.

And besides – that’s not to say that anyone seemed to notice out front – but I think the four of us were aware. And that’s just not like us.
Though to be fair we did miss the usual scheduled Tequila shots before going on – as we were tied up with MiniDisc recorders, new lights and various new cables and adapters to allow us to do new fancy things.

On behalf of the band, I’d like to hereby swear to always drink before we go on in future.

You might think I’m suggesting we had a bad night. Far from it. We had a belter. I’m actually talking about the first song or two – minutes of our lives.

You’ve only got to check the video below to see the place was jumpin! We had a crackin’ gig at Tyacks – and we can’t wait to go back on May 18. A great crowd that sang loud, bar staff that were having fun, and a dance floor full of people shakin’ their asses. Can’t ask for much more can we?
